Confidential Complaint Procedure
Purpose and Scope
The purpose of the procedure is to provide a confidential and independent avenue for any individual to report complaints or concerns anonymously regarding activities that may involve improper conduct or violations of the University’s policies.
Responsibility for implementing procedure
This procedure would be implemented by the Internal Auditor
(1) Directly to the Internal Auditor.
Any individual with information concerning any of the matters mentioned in the policy can schedule a meeting with the internal auditor to discuss the matter.
With this method the individual has the opportunity to remain anonymous. The information provided needs to be clear, accurate and with sufficient detail to allow for investigation of the issue since there would be no opportunity for the internal auditor to gain any clarifying information.
The University of the Southern Caribbean would not victimize any individual who reports a concern. Following receipt of a complaint the Internal Auditor will conduct an evaluation and determine the next step to be undertaken.
The confidential complaint message box form would be used with the procedure.
A record of the complaint would be kept on file for the use and reference by the Internal Auditor
