Nursing Education Health Fair in It's 10th Year
Year One students in the Department of Nursing Education took part in an annual Health Fair as a requirement for completing the Nursing programme at the University of the Southern Caribbean (USC).
The objective of the event was to promote health care in its various forms (nutrition; spiritual health; reproductive health; mental health; sexual health) to the campus community.
During the course of the day, student disseminated information, played games, gave gifts and made presentations in the form of drama and poetry.
Specialists from various agencies also turned out to assist the students with their presentations including social workers, police, pastors and massage therapists.
The Nursing programme at USC this year celebrates its 10th anniversary, and since its inception has been lead by Mrs. Phyllis Woolford. Our students continue to have one of the highest pass rates in the regional examinations and the shine in their wokplaces around the Caribbean.
