Research Day 2017

Research day, an annual event held at the University of the Southern Caribbean (USC), showcases cutting-edge research conducted by students, faculty and guest presenters in a symposium style gathering.

The Honorable, Dr. Lovell Francis, Minister of Education, Trinidad and Tobago 

The event which took place on March 14, 2017 is annually coordinated by the Office of Research and Innovation. This year’s theme was: “University in Focus: Maintaining Relevancy and Sustainability in a Changing Higher Education Environment.

Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, The Honorable, Dr. Lovell Francis attended the morning segment and declared the Research Day activities open.

The Research Day activities are held every year as part of the Charter Week of celebrations. Charter week marks the change in status from college to university, a milestone which was achieved by USC eleven years ago.
