Semaine de Prière Française 2012
La Semaine de Prière Française (French Week of Prayer) began on January 20, 2012 in the University’s main auditorium with joyous, vigorous participants. It was tagged “Salvation in Action,” with revitalising proceedings for the French and English speaking students who gathered nightly to listen to music and the spoken word.
Guest speaker, Pastor Guy Duchaude, a native of Guadeloupe, highlighted the book of Exodus with dynamism throughout the week, and translators did an exceptional job of relaying the message. He said that just as the four Gospels, the book of Exodus has everything we need to know about Salvation in Action.
The programme ended on a “high note” as students from various cultures and language backgrounds spoke highly of the entire event. The University’s general Week of Prayer for this semester is scheduled to be held from the 25th of February to the 5th of March, 2012.
